Many guests thought that the location of this property was convenient for accessing Rexall Place and Northlands Park (venue for Edmonton's Capital Exhibition) on foot.

Several guests were disturbed in their rooms by noise. Reviewers described disruptive sounds from neighbouring rooms and the parking lot. One guest said that he was awakened at "3am in the morning by shouting receptionist who was fighting with one of the guests [sic]".
