Located in downtown Edmonton, a 7-minute walk from Churchill Station, Chateau Lacombe Hotel is geared towards business or vacation travellers who prefer a downtown hotel with on-site dining and 24-hour access to fitness and business facilities.

Each of the hotel's non-smoking rooms comes equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and wired Internet, cable TV, a coffeemaker, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Microwaves and mini-fridges are available upon request for $20 per stay (each). Rooms that include a mini-fridge and a sitting area with a sofabed are also available, as are wheelchair-accessible and river-view rooms. Pets are permitted for $20 per pet, per stay.

Hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness centre, 14,000 square feet of meeting space, a 24-hour business centre, dry cleaning services, babysitting services (pre-booking required) and an elevator. On-site parking is available for a fee of $15.75 per night.

On-site dining is offered at La Ronde and Bellamy's Lounge (both open for lunch and dinner daily) and Cafe Lacombe, which serves breakfast and lunch daily. Bellamy's Lounge also offers room service from 11 am to 12 am midnight daily.

The hotel's location was appreciated by numerous reviewers. They described it as easy to find and central, as well as close to shopping, restaurants, public transit, the North Saskatchewan River and Shaw Convention Centre.

Several lodgers were satisfied with their accommodations at the hotel. They found their rooms to be clean, quiet, spacious and well equipped, with great river views and comfortable beds. Some guests had complaints about their lodgings, however (see below).
