"great views of the tree sisters mountain. But opposite the railway line so sometimes noisy."

"My main concern was with the make up of the beds, which seemed as though they hadn't been made prior to our arrival. As well, we stayed in this same hotel 7 years ago and it hasn't changed at all. The reason I rated the customer service as non-existent is that if we needed something in our room, we had to go down to the front desk to get it. However, I would still reccomend the hotel to anyone that doesn't have high maintenance needs and is looking for an affordable place to stay in Canmore. Thanks."
Elizabeth from Lacombe, AB CA stayed on August 22, 2005

"We called to confirm our late arrival reservation at 9:00 p.m., knowing that we still had 4 hours of driving ahead. We specifically asked what time the front desk closed. They said it was open until 2:00 a.m., but that if we were going to be later that we should call and they would wait on us. We said that it would be close, but that if we were going to be after 2:00 we would call. We arrived at 1:15 a.m. and the desk was closed. At this point we were exhausted from travel and the athletic event our son had competed in, and had a total of 6 weary people. We knocked on doors until we awakened a man who rented an apartment in the basement. He was able to give us keys, but clearly was not associated with the staff function of the hotel. And while he was congenial, he was irritated with the hotel staff. The next morning, as we checked out, the hotel owner said she would speak to her staff and thanked us for letting her know, but barely apologized for the discomfort we experienced, nor attempted to reassure us of not running into the same problem again."

"THe staff was fantastic. They were extremely helpful with providing information when requested. THis hotel was a great place to stay with our family, although we did miss having a swimming pool to use. The price of the room was resonable considering that we were in the heart of the tourist attractions."
Lise from Edmonton, AB CA stayed on August 01, 2005

"light fixtures did not work properly in room 107 - air conditioning was very loud. Pillows were lousy. Staff was helpful and courteous."
Sam from Larne, GB stayed on July 22, 2005

"Rooms had no coffee maker"
Vergil from Winnipeg, MB CA stayed on July 22, 2005

"There were a lot of 'little' things missing from this hotel. No signs on the back of the room door indicating checkout time, the room was only set up for two people, even though they knew there would be three, there was no 'do not disturb' sign for the door handle and the towels were pretty thin. But, for the area it's in (so close to Banff) and for the price you pay, it's more than adequate. If you're just looking for somewhere to sleep, this is definitely the place to go. If you have trouble with a lot of noise at night, you might want to look somewhere other than Canmore, though, since there's a major train route running right through town. One other thing that was a bit odd - there were very few restaurants to be had in walking distance."

"The bathroom needed some attention. It was dirty and old."

"Thank you. I would recommend putting in a continental breakfast."

"I was very upset with this facility. I believe that they employed deceptive advertising as the facility talked about "mountain views". I didn't know that the facility was in a middle of a town as it didn't indicate such in the material I reviewed before I made a decision to book a room for two nights. When I arrived, I considered cancelling alltogether but I was stuck for one night. I was able to cancel my second night when I forcefully explained that they had misrepresented themselves. My youndest daughter thought she saw a rodent in our room early the morning after our check-in. I hate being ripped off and if I am going to be ripped off, I'll let that happen in the United States. I cut short the remainder of my Canadian stay and returned home. This hotel left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. No, I would not recommend this play to anyone. Thank you for asking. John McInnis"

"No frige, microwave or coffee maker in room. Hotel has a small frige and mircowave which you share with other guests. Don't expect too much from the hotel/room if you just want to stay the night it's ok."
Fatemeh from Edmonton, AB CA stayed on July 02, 2005

"The room had iron and iron table but did not have any hairdrier and kettel which I think is more important than iron. Although I borrowed a hairdirer from the reception for the time of my stay but I think it is better that each room is equipped with at least these two items. For us which have car during our stay the loaction of hotel was good but I do not know about those who dose not have car."
John from Calgary, AB CA stayed on June 21, 2005

"The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and courtious and is a definate asset to you team. The room was very clean and the view was unbelievable. I will definately come back and visit you again. Thank You John Sinclair"

"I made reservation and arrived at 12:45am only to find a sign stating that the office opens at 7am. I had to wait until 7am to get my room key. If you arrive late at night, I recommend calling ahead to make sure they leave a room key for you at the front desk."
Suzanne from Coalhurst, AB CA stayed on May 14, 2005

"Overall the service was awesome, however...the toilet, tub, and bathroom floor were dirty. It was clear that the bathroom was not cleaned properly before we stayed in the room. #222 (urine dried on the floor in front of the toilet, ring inside the toilet, ring in the tub) Other than that, our experience was a positive one. Joan was great. I'd stay there again...just because she was so helpful and pleasant. Thanks for asking for our opinion!"
Edward from Calgary, AB CA stayed on May 14, 2005

"Great deal as a budget hotel especially in such an expensive resort town."
Tarass from Edmonton, AB CA stayed on May 07, 2005

"Good hotel for people on the budget, if all you need is just a decent roof over your head"
Ellen from Calgary, AB CA stayed on April 24, 2005

"We did not have any toilet paper on Sunday morning and no one to ask for a new roll. No one was at the front desk. My friend had to get some toilet paper from the public washroom. Not acceptable. Also, on the internet is says checkout time is 12 pm and we arranged with the front desk to be out at noon, but staff complained to my friend and said, "check out is at 11". She explained we had arranged to be out at noon. We do not need to be bothered by this when we already arranged it prior."
Anonymous guest from Calgary, CA stayed on March 27, 2005

"I had called earlier and I was given the second floor room nos. but on arrival she was giving us groundfloor rooms until on request then she gave us second floor rooms and that is what we did not like about it."
John from Calgary, AB CA stayed on September 05, 2004

"Tina at the front desk was extremely helpful - we have a 3 1/2 month old baby, and she was able to accommodate us with a room with a fridge and to give us use of a microwave. Thanks Tina!"
Raymond from South Jordan, UT US stayed on July 07, 2004

"Room was not properly cleaned prior to our arrival. The main overhead light was burned out. The TV sound did not work and one of the lamps was broken."
