The Good
While most of the reviews consulted for this analysis were negative, there were a couple of common compliments among them, which included the rooms and location.

Some guests were pleased with their accommodations at this hotel. They described their rooms as spacious, having comfortable beds and pillows and nice views of wooded areas. It should be mentioned however, that while some of these guests found their rooms to be clean, many others felt the rooms and common areas needed a more thorough cleaning.

The hotel's location was praised by several reviewers. They described it as close to Canmore (about a 30-minute walk and a 10-minute drive), biking and hiking trails, and many restaurants. It was also reported the hotel was in a secluded and quiet location.

The Bad
While this hotel received some positive comments among the reviews consulted for this analysis, many more of the reviews were negative and focused primarily on the hotel's staff, appliances, and noise transfer.

Many guests were disappointed with the level of customer service they received. They described the staff as unhelpful
and unsympathetic, and it was reported there is no on-duty staff from 5:00pm until the following morning. Cleaning is only provided once a week on Saturdays, and one guest remarked, "nothing is available from the front office".

Several reviewers found the units' appliances either broken or lacking. These guests reported broken dishwashers and burners, and plumbing leaks. It was also mentioned by many reviewers that they found the kitchen utensils to be either outdated or missing.

Noise disturbances were a source of complaint by some lodgers. They described noisy ventilation systems, as well as construction and children running in rooms overhead.

"Our hotel room was extremely hot. We had the furnace turned off and the windows open and it was still too warm. The bed was not very comfortable but for $80 a night we were pleased and would stay again (just not in that room)."
