Located a 5-minute drive from Canmore's city centre and a 2-minute drive from the nearest Trans-Canada Highway onramp, the Blackstone Mountain Lodge is popular with business and vacation travellers who prefer a contemporary condo-style hotel with extended amenities such as full kitchens and an on-site spa.

This non-smoking hotel has 107 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites, each offering free Wi-Fi, cable TV, a mini-fridge, a desk, bathrobes for each guest, a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board. Standard rooms offer two queen beds, while one, two and three-bedroom suites offer separate bedrooms, a separate living area with a sofabed, a dining area, a full kitchen, a fireplace, and a washer and dryer. 

Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool, hot tubs, a spa, fitness facilities, and a business centre. Parking is free, and pets are permitted for a fee of $20 per night per pet. Accessible rooms are available upon request.

Blackstone Mountain Lodge is within walking distance to several restaurants. Cornerstone Theatre and Restaurant is across the street, while Vic's Steakhouse and Bar and Indochine Vietnamese Fusion Cuisine can be found within a 4-minute walk of the hotel.

The Canmore Golf and Curling Club is roughly a 4-minute drive northeast, while Banff National Park is about 9 minutes away by car. Clock Tower Village Mall and Lake Louise Ski Area are both approximately a 25-minute drive northwest. Calgary International Airport (YYC) is about a 1 hour and 15-minute drive eastward. The Good
The majority of reviews consulted for this analysis were positive with much praise going to the hotel's rooms, staff and location.

Many reviewers enjoyed the accommodations provided at this hotel. They described their rooms as spacious, modern, and well-equipped, with beautiful decor, fantastic mountain views, and good quality linens and towels. It should be mentioned however, that maid service is offered only on the 4th day of your stay, which was a disappointment to some.

The staff were praised for their high level of customer service by several guests. They were described as helpful, friendly, courteous and professional, and offered tips to patrons about local attractions.

The hotel's location was pleasing to many lodgers. It was described as with walking distance to downtown Canmore's restaurants and shops, close to Banff, Lake Louise, and the Trans-Canada Highway.
The Bad
While many of the reviews consulted for this analysis were positive, there were a couple of common complaints among them, which included the hotel's amenities/services and noise transfer.

Some guests were disappointed with some of the hotel's amenities. There were several complaints about slow Wi-Fi signals or being unable to connect to the internet. Some of the TVs in the rooms were deemed small (20-inches), and the elevator was also described as slow by a few. Another inconvenience for some guests was the lack of an on-site restaurant.

Noise disturbances were reported by some reviewers. They complained of highway noise, and being able to hear walking, talking and plumbing from adjacent rooms.
