Overview
Located in Calgary's southeast quadrant, approximately an 11-minute drive from Southcentre Mall (one of Calgary's largest), this hotel is also located close to Macleod Trail (north-south), which is about a 2-minute drive away. The hotel's pool makes it a popular option for families.

All of the 85 rooms at this hotel have a microwave, a mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer. Guests can choose between standard rooms with either king or queen beds, or more spacious suites with a separate bedroom (some of which can sleep up to 6). Pets are permitted at this hotel for an additional $15/night.

While there is no restaurant located on-site, guests are offered a complimentary continental breakfast daily. There are dining options located within a 5- to 10-minute drive of this hotel. On-site amenities include an indoor pool, a hot tub, a gym and a waterslide. On-site parking is available for free as well.

This hotel is about a 7-minute drive from Spruce Meadows, a world-class horse jumping facility and complex, as well as Fish Creek Provincial Park, touted as one of the largest urban parks in Canada. Heritage Park Historical Village is about a 17-minute drive away. The downtown Calgary area (where the business district and other attractions like the Stampede Corral and the Calgary Tower are located) is about a 23-minute drive to the north. The C-Train is about a 7-minute walk away, and gives guests another option to access the downtown area. The Good
Based on the reviews used for this analysis, most guests enjoyed their stay at this hotel. There were a number of comments from guests who enjoyed the pool and who praised staff.

Many guests said that the pool water was warm, and that the area was well kept. A few guests made specific mention of enjoying the waterslide. There were a number of specific comments from guests travelling with children who found the pool to be family friendly.

Staff at this hotel received top marks from several guests, who described them as friendly, congenial and accommodating. Front desk staff were mentioned specifically (some even by name).

Several guests enjoyed the continental breakfast, saying that it had exceeded expectations and that they appreciated that it was included with the room rate. 

Guests found their rooms to be clean, comfortable and well configured. 

There were some additional comments about the location, which was good for guests who needed to be in the southern end of Calgary. A few guests liked how close the hotel was to shopping (ie. Southcentre Mall) and to the C-Train.

The Bad
Most of the reviews used for this analysis were overwhelmingly positive, although there were a few guest complaints, which were not representative of overall guest experience.

A couple of guests had difficulty with parking and said that spaces were tight and that the lot was difficult to access.

Some guests complained of odours of cigarette smoke, even in non-smoking rooms.
