The Good
Some guests were pleased with their stay finding this an adequate hotel for a short, affordable stay.

The location was convenient. It was in the central business district, but also close to shopping, a drug store, a convenience store and restaurants. Having Tim Hortons across the street was handy for breakfast and guests liked having very close access to the C-Train.

Guests seemed generally satisfied with the staff’s service overall. They were described as helpful and friendly, although guests did not mention them that often in the reviews and there was the odd complaint about them.

Guests liked the restaurant and appreciated it being on site. The food was good and reasonably priced.

Some guests considered the rooms adequate and affordable. They judged their rooms as clean, updated and spacious with a clean and comfortable bed and free Wi-Fi.

The Bad
Some guests were not comfortable and did not enjoy their stay at this hotel.

The rooms were older and lacked the normally expected conveniences of modern hotels. Guests complained of not having enough electrical outlets to charge devices and inefficient air conditioning that did not cool well.

Bathrooms were described as poorly configured and tiny, with no bathroom fan, low water pressure, and small tubs.

Some said rooms were clean, but others felt they needed much better cleaning, smelled musty and were shabby. They complained of stains on sheets, carpet, tubs, walls and ceiling, black mould in bathrooms and very inadequate maintenance.

Some found the hotel a little noisy and complained of noisy AC units, a noisy elevator or ice machine near their rooms, and sound travelling through doors from other rooms. Some rooms were subject to traffic, sirens and C-Train noise from the street.

Some guests had parking related issues. Guests found getting to the parkade after 11pm was awkward as the elevator access was stopped which required accessing via the stairs, even if guests had luggage. Also the parkade clearance was very low for larger vehicles and parking spots were narrow.

The elevator was slow and did not always work properly. The hot tub's jets did not work according to several guests.

The neighbourhood had street people milling about and guests described it as seedy.

Although some felt the hotel was cheap for downtown and sufficed for a short stay, some were disappointed they had booked here and felt there was better value to be had elsewhere.
