Rooms at this hotel were clean (one guest said "spotless"), comfortable, spacious and well-equipped, according to a number of guests. Guests found the rooms well-maintained and well-configured and appreciated the convenience of some of the amenities, like the full kitchen.
For a number of guests, location was a positive factor. Several guests indicated that the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to a number of attractions (i.e. Prince's Island, Eau Claire Market), and that the hotel was also well located to public transit.

The Bad
For guests that had a less than a positive experience, much of that had to do with the state of the decor at the hotel and disturbance from noisy A/C units.
According to a number of guests, decor was ageing at this hotel and in need of updating. Guests said things like "threadbare", "in desperate need of a facelift" and "old decor" when describing the rooms, and mentioned sofas and carpets specifically.
There were a number of comments from guests who were bothered by noisy A/C units in the rooms. A few guests said that their units rattled. One guest said that their unit kept turning on and off throughout the night, creating noise and waking them up repeatedly.
There were a few peripheral comments on things like uncomfortable beds and unpleasant odours (likely caused from cooking) coming from other rooms.
