"The pool was closed for repairs. A pool was one of the reasons for chosing this hotel, my 3 yr old granddaughter was looking forward to swimming. Also, overpriced for what you get."

"The perfect hotel stay"
"perfect stay, from the desk clerk, with his personal greeting, to clean spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Bath tub was very clean and comfortable for a nice hot soak. Rooms very quiet, and perfect location to the couple of places we were going to during the day."

"There were numerous issues with the booking system as several members in our party were downgraded (3) while some were upgraded (1). Considering we had all booked a long time in advance it is very disconcerting to arrive and find out that the facility is overbooked and your accomodation is not what you have paid for. There was a reduction in fees and a change of rooms for the second night but that is a hassle that doesn't seem necessary. The biggest frustration regarding this was the clerks initial response that she couldn't provide any kind of rate reduction because the manager wasn't in until Monday and she didn't have the authority. Somehow this was resolved Friday evening as the down graded parties did recieve a reduction in their price.
The second area of concern was the extremely noisy guests on the fourth floor during the night of April 22/23. I made the first phone call to the front desk around 2 am - the response was that she would come up and check things out. The noise level did not change so I phoned again around 3 am - she said she would look into it. At 3:30 am my husband went out and asked the guests to be quiet - they obviously couldn't care less what another guest said. Around 3:45 am I again phoned the front desk and she stated that she would have the mediator talk the situation over with the parties involved. Again I stated that obviously security should be called in as they should have by 3 am. We never heard any kind of discussion between the loud and drunk parties and any hotel staff. At 4 am they finally called it quits and went to bed. This is not the way to spend a night in a hotel - we hardly ever get the opportunity to do this and it leaves a very sour taste in our mouths that the hotel night staff did not address the situation satisfactorly.
The design of the hotel makes the elevators quite mandatory as the stairs are only located at the ends. On Saturday am the second elevator went "down" (we heard it was due to over loading) and it remained that way all weekend. Only one elevator seriously increased the waiting time and it was also very difficult on the staff cleaning. I would think that in a place the size of Calgary they must have elevator maintanence staff on during the weekend that could have been called in."

"The hot tub was too hot and the pool was too cold.If they fixed both that would be great!!
Unfortunately the room we were to have was needed by someone else with an emergency so we were a little squished with our 4 kids in a room with 2 double beds and 2 cots.(they did give us the cots at no cost to us though)."

"The bathroom was clean - except for that the soap/shampoo display hadn't been moved for weeks/months - the dust/dirt build up was quite evident. That kind of grossed me out."
