"Room was still smelling of paint as it had recently been refurbished,others on the floor were in various states of refurbishment, IT systems down so bill could not be presented at checkout - they had been down for more than 48 hours, Too far (10 Km.)from the Airport to be called 'Airport Hotwl"

"The check in staff were somewhat unwelcoming. Otherwise, satisfactory. Disappointed with no complimentary breakfast offered. Room's AC awkward position. Curtains were not able to close fully over the AC. Restaurant staff and meal was excellent!"

"Nice hotel but not exactly close to the airport"
"I only stayed at the hotel for one night and did not use many facilities. The room I had was spacious with two double beds, desk, armchair, kitchenette, etc. The bed was very comfy and the internet was working. The only drawback is the location -- it said "Holiday Inn Airport" but I had to wait quite a while for the shuttle and it seems that the hotel is quite far from the airport."

"A Second Home During Illness"
"A little noise but the service was wonderful. The staff was helpful and kind. We had everything we needed and more. My husband had surgery and the hotel helped with cabs and concern for my situation. We stayed an extra day for my husband while we waited for a different vehical to take him home. Extra towels etc. were at hand. By the way this was his second surgery and we stayed both times. My husband is 81 and we had the best of treatment by the staff."

"This hotel is fabulous. Rooms, pool, shuttle service, staff, price, lounge (you can take drinks to your room!!!) were all just perfect. I wouldn't have minded a convenience store nearby as my flight was late and the kitchen was closed but that's not a big deal. I've already recommended it to several friends and I'll be booking my partner a room for his return from Mexico the end of May."

"Everything went very smoothly & the room was great value for the dollar. Very clean & professional. No mention of where to park though (worked that out for ourselves & could use restaurants closer by). Not a problem for me, but may be for someone without a vehicle."

"Two items, the smoke in the bar lounge was unnacceptable, & when I checked in i asked for an early wake up call for 0445 & reservation on the shuttle for 5am as we had an early 0720 flight to the states. they did not tell us that the shuttle left at 0500hrs on the button & would not wait & when we got downstairs at 0502hrs it was gone & would not be back for over half an hour!! so we had to spend $20.00 on cab to airport & just made our flight, very poor service on behalf of your night crew ."

"While this is may be an older hotel, they are doing their best to upgrade and update. The outstanding feature was the service ethic of the staff - the overall sense that they wanted to provide good service - not just put in their hours. Adding this degree of service to the very reasonable rate for the room, I felt our stay at the Holiday Inn Calgary-Airport was an exceptional value."
