The location of the hotel was well-liked for several different reasons. Guests commonly indicated that they liked being near either the Trans Canada Highway, the University of Calgary, and/or the C-Train (Calgary's rail transit). Occasionally a guest mentioned that he/she found restaurants in the area while one guest even considered the hotel to be close to the Calgary airport.

Occasionally guests indicated that they were happy with the size of their rooms while some guests were happy to have a microwave or fridge. Numerous guests said that the hotel was clean and some of these guests specifically mentioned their rooms.
The Bad
Some guests who stayed at this hotel had concerns that often pertained to the hotel's breakfast or to the parking.
Guests that complained about the breakfast at the hotel often said that it lacked selection. There were some compliments, however for the most part guests felt that the meal was "basic" or meager.
The parking situation at the hotel was called "cramped." Many guests complained that there was not enough space and another guest called the parking "tight.'
Occasionally guests complained about the elevator service at the hotel. A couple guests called it slow while another guest said there wasn't one available to get to his room. Lastly, some guests did not consider the hotel to be comfortable and a couple patrons called their beds "hard."
