Deerfoot Trail, which turns into the Queen Elizabeth II Highway, is a short drive to the west of the property. The Calgary Airport and the Delta Calgary Airport hotel are so close in proximity to one another that there is an indoor walkway connecting the two.

Overwhelmingly these guests were airport travelers and they very satisfied with the location of the hotel. Numerous guests stated that they found the hotel easy to access as they were able to walk to the property from the Calgary International Airport. Several guests also said they liked the indoor walkway that acted as a connector between the Delta and YYC.
Several guests also liked the food that they ate at one of the hotel's two restaurants. A couple guests said that they found the lounge food to be "good" while one regular to the hotel said that he/she thought the food was "always good" at the Delta Calgary Airport. Some guests went further and called the hotel restaurant they ate at "great."
The rooms at the hotel were generally considered clean and many guests said they found the pillows and beds comfortable. The staff at the hotel received several compliments and they were typically described as either helpful, polite, or friendly. One memorable reviewer said that a staff member went the extra mile in providing exceptional service and then refused a gratuity.
The Bad
Complaints about the Delta Calgary Airport usually focused on the perceived age of the hotel. Many guests thought that the property was "dated" or old.
While guests typically thought their room was clean, several guests said that their rooms seemed "tired" or outdated. The furnishings in guest rooms or in common areas were sometimes described as below par. Also many guests said that their rooms were small in size.
Other complaints about the hotel were limited however occasionally a guest was unimpressed with the parking at the hotel. These guests did not like that the service was not included in their room rate. A couple guests also described parking far from the hotel.
Occasionally, a guest complained about the Internet at the property. They didn't like that it was a paid feature for their room category (some rooms include free Internet service).
