The GoodGuests who stayed at this hotel seemed to have a lot of mixed opinions about the property. On the plus side many guests felt that they received good value and many others were happy with the property's location.
Guests who were happy with their room rates often said that their prices were "reasonable." Another guest said he got a "good deal" while another guest said that the hotel offered "Good value" for a "cost conscious guest." Related to value, some guests seemed happy with the hotel because the room rate included some free services. Many guests mentioned that the breakfast was free while a few other guests mentioned that the parking was free.
Numerous guests liked the hotel's location mainly for being close to downtown Calgary. Guests frequently mentioned a close proximity to shopping or easy access to the C-Train. A couple guests also liked being near the Saddledome or the Calgary Stampede grounds - two downtown destinations.
The Bad
Guests who stayed at this hotel seemed to have a fair number of concerns for the property. Numerous guests were unhappy with either the staff, the noise at the hotel, or dirtiness at the property.
The staff at the hotel received some compliments however there were not as many positive descriptions of staff as one would expect for hospitality workers. Furthermore, some guests described the staff as "rude" or "impatient."
Several guests also indicated that they had noise concerns for this hotel. The source of the noise was typically blamed on other guests at the property who were at times depicted as partiers.
Other unhappy guests claimed that the property had "no hot water" when they went to shower while some guests described a "run down" and "shabby" building that seemed old.
A few guests disliked the location for lack of restaurant selection. Other guests said they had trouble getting the room to stay at an optimal temperature as it was either too hot or too cold.
Dirtiness was a fairly common concern as multiple guests indicated that the hot tub was dirty while a couple guests indicated that they noticed stained carpets in their rooms.
