"This hotel is very conviently located to major roadways and is surrounded by good restaurants. The rooms are large and comfortable. However, some attention is required to detail. For instance, our keys needed to be replaced a total of 3 times in our two night stay and we were not the only ones having problems. Very annoying on a late night return. The exercise room is so hot you can't stand in it never mind trying to work out! We had to call for coffee packets and cups the second morning as they were not left by the cleaning staff. And I really dislike drinking out of cheap plastic cups wrapped in cellophane!! The continental breakfast offered in the morning is very nice but the second morning we asked for hardboiled eggs (that were provided the day before) and were told that they had run out as previous guests had eaten them all!!!! If you are going to offer the breakfast than be adequately stocked please"

"Hoping for Improvement"
"The heat was intermittent, the bed was hard, and the basement was kinda creepy. The hair dryer didn't work, there was no answer at the front desk at 5:50 a.m. when I called three different times to ask for a different hair dryer, so I dried my hair with the hot-and-cold air from the heater. Later, however, the manager did let me check out late and use the breakfast room for some computer work, which was appreciated. The complimentary wireless Internet was a nice feature, too, and the pool area looked nice although I didn't use it."

"There were no cots at this hotel. There were no extra blankets or pillows in the room. The beds were very uncomfortable. The air conditioner did not work well and kept us up all night with the on/off racket it made. There was lots of noise from another room all night as well.
Very pricey for what we got. In fact, it was the most expensive portion of our trip with regards to accomodation."

"I wasn't thrilled with the level of service at this hotel. Had housekeeping enter the room twice by mistake, in the early morning while we were sleeping, despite the fact that there was a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. While we were packing to leave they( housekeeping) also came to knock on the door and ask if we were checking out. I told them we would be gone in about ten minutes and they said "OK we will wait outside your room for you." When we left and were waiting for the elevator they were cleaning another room. The housekeeper came out of that room and rudely asked "Where you even going to tell me that you were leaving?"
Upon check out the first thing the front desk clerk said was "Phone in your room not working?" I said "No, I don't think so, why do you ask?"
Her response was "I tried to phone you 20 minutes ago and you didn't answer. That's what it's there for."
We didn't receive any calls from front desk while we were getting ready to leave, so I'm not sure if she called the right room or not. In all fairness we were checking out about fifteen minutes after check out time but I don't think the attitude from the staff was necessary, especially after paying $250 for one night in a two-star hotel. I didn't even get a "Have a nice day" or anything, she simply handed me the receipt and turned around to do something else.
I would never recommend this hotel as they seem to neglect some very basic customer service principles."

"The room I was in was small and cramped and in the basement even though the cost was $200. per night. I understand it was during Stampede, but it was unreasonably high for the room I was given. There were also several children running up and down the hallways knocking on the door and the window of the room. I complained to the front desk, but it continued well into the night. The number on our telephone was a different room number than on our door, so our pizza delivery was delayed resulting in cold food. The hot tub in the pool area was filthy - dirt and sand floating in it. All in all, things could have been much better. I travel to Calgary quite often, but won't be staying in this hotel again."
