The Good
Guests typically enjoyed their stays at this hotel and many recent guests said they found the rooms very clean with very comfortable beds. Although the facility is older, the hotel has been renovating and many appreciated the updates made to the rooms and main areas of the hotel.

Guest conveyed that the hotel was well priced for what was offered and they liked the convenience of having quality breakfast buffets and other dining on site, as well as an indoor pool and hot tub.

Many attended conferences held at the hotel and liked being outside of the downtown core. The location was also appreciated for its proximity to Hwy 1, the airport, the zoo, small shopping centres, many restaurants and a market.

Wi-Fi was rated as excellent by guests overall, and the hotel did a good job of satisfying its patrons, whether they were at the hotel for the use of their meeting rooms, for dining or for a hotel stay.

One recent guest summed it up like this: "I visit Calgary for both business and to visit family. Have stayed here many times and have always been very pleased. Very clean, great rooms and especially great beds. You'll love the breakfast buffet."

The Bad
The hotel did miss it on occasion and failed to satisfy some of their guests.

Occasionally guests were assigned an unserviced room which grossed them out and then inconvenienced them in having to move to a new room.

Others were more than bothered about loud noise coming from the hotel's nightclub, which is open on the weekends until 2 am.

The facility is older and although many renovations have been done, guests who stayed in rooms that were not yet, or fully renovated complained about the dated condition of their room. Issues that were complained about included: low water pressure in the shower, a lack of hot water, slow draining tubs, faulty key cards, an air conditioner that did not cool, wobbly toilet, dripping bathroom fixtures, musty and cigarette odours.

One guest conveyed the sentiment of many by writing: "You can tell that the hotel has made a effort to update, however it still need quite a bit of work. Considering the price point I would expect more. The bathrooms are dated and the hallways smell."
