Heritage Park Historical Village (about a 7-minute drive) and Fort Calgary (about a 13-minute drive) are both north of the hotel. The GoodAmong the reviews used for this analysis, guests praised a number of things at this hotel, including excellent customer service and the hotel's convenient location.
Staff received top marks from reviewers, who felt that they had received consistently warm and friendly service throughout their stay. Staff in various areas of the hotel were mentioned, including front desk staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff.
Location was a top feature for a number of guests, many of whom appreciated the hotel's proximity to the Chinook Centre (5-minute drive) and to a C-Train stop (2-minute walk).
Several guests felt that the rooms and the common areas were very clean and that although this was an older hotel, it was well maintained.
There was also some praise for the quality of the food available in the on-site restaurants and through room service.

The Bad
While there were a number of positive comments made about this hotel, guests did have a few complaints in common, mostly about the size of the rooms and on aging decor.
Several guests felt that the rooms were small, cramped and awkwardly configured. Some guests felt that the bathrooms were small, and there was particular mention of small bathroom vanities. Some guests wished they'd had a bathtub in their bathroom.
Decor was aging at this hotel and in need of updating, according to a number of guests. Furniture, carpets, linens and wallpaper were mentioned specifically.
