The Good
The hotel was recently renovated and guests appreciated the new look.

Rooms were well liked. They were clean, well maintained and spacious with comfy beds and some with nice city views.

This was a great location. It was right at the city centre, in walking distance of restaurants, attractions, shopping, entertainment and public transit, including the airport bus.

Guests enjoyed the dining on site. The food was fresh and nicely presented at the hotel's restaurant and Milestones also offered great food and drinks.

Guests liked the staff. They were described as professional and very friendly by reviewers. Some found the staff prompt to assist, good at giving out helpful information and going out of their way to help.

The Bad
There were some weak points according to some guests.

Some guests had difficulties with the parking. There was no self-parking option at the hotel and guests who tried to get around paying for expensive valet parking ($40 a day for most days of the week) found parking lots difficult to find and awkward to access with many one-way streets in the downtown.

Noise disturbance was a factor for some. Guests cited street noise, Calgary Tower gongs, guests in rooms above, doors slamming, music from lobby and AC units.

Other nitpicks found were: sheets did not fit bed properly, room service menu is limited, no free breakfast, key cards were awkward to use, music in restaurant too loud, and breakfast was good but pricey.
