The Good
The reviews for this hotel were of mixed opinion. Guests who found the hotel acceptable addressed the rooms, the breakfast and the location primarily.

Guests who liked the rooms typically said they were clean, quiet and large.

The free breakfast was a source of compliments by some reviewers. These guests described the breakfast as good and were pleased with the selection of items provided.

Some guests praised the hotel's location saying they found it to be close to the Trans-Canada Highway, the Denny's restaurant in walking distance and Dinosaur Provincial Park. It was also appreciated by a couple of travellers that they could park directly outside their hotel room door.

The staff and customer service were mentioned positively by a few reviewers. They were characterized as friendly and helpful with giving directions when asked.
The Bad
While this hotel received positive comments in the reviews read for this report, many of the comments were also negative and focused primarily on the hotel's worn decor, cleanliness inconsistencies, service and value.

Most reviewers had complaints about the hotel's worn decor and fixtures. They reported stained carpets, mouldy shower surrounds and a half-inch gap around an outside door. One guest said he could only get 10 channels and there was no clock and no phone in his room.

The hotel's cleanliness was a source of disappointment for several guests. These lodgers described seeing very dirty floors, hair from previous guests, stained sheets, and telltale signs of poor vacuuming.

Noise was an issue for a few, although several guests said it was quiet and they could hear no traffic noise. The problems seemed to come from trucks parked in the nearby truck stop and what some guests called "paper thin walls".

Some said the beds were hard, although a few said they were comfortable and a couple of guests complained that the breakfast offered dried out jam packets that had hardened plus bruised fruit.

More than one guest did not appreciate the inattentive service from the staff at the desk that they had received.
