"Unusual room setup. Small rooms, extremely comfortable, good views (if you get the deluxe view) - however, the resort is located up on the mountain and you must drive to get to restaurants and shopping downtown. The hotel caters to tour groups - especially Asian in origin. In addition, be aware that the hotel charges for overnight parking."

"Question 3 on hotel location answered as "Don't Know", but should be considered as "Not Relevant":
* Airport / business district: Banff has no airport and no real business district.
* Attractions/shopping/restaurants: The Rimrock Hotel is out of town, so it's not ideally located for these amenities, but we wanted to be out of town in a quiet location."

Nestled in Canadian mountains, in Banff National Park, the Rimrock Resort Hotel is approximately 95 miles from Calgary International Airport. The resort's green marble and sandy limestone exterior augment a pastoral blue and green color scheme, playing off of the surrounding area's trees, sky, snow, and rock. Elk, deer and bighorn sheep regularly visit the town site and the Rimrock's courtyard. It's not unusual to see these majestic animals just feet away.
Rimrock Resort offers complimentary access to Banff?s Public Transit, concierge service for specific individual needs, two restaurants, a wine bar, a lobby lounge, a fitness center and full-service spa, and convenient shopping right in the resort. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Other services include valet laundry service, babysitting, valet parking, and ski storage.
