This hotel provides a comfortable stay a 6-minute walk from Banff's downtown restaurants and shops.

The smoke-free and pet-free hotel offers 70 rooms over 3 floors. All rooms include free Wi-Fi, free local calls, cable TV, a coffeemaker, a mini-fridge, a desk, an iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, and climate control. 

Rooms are furnished with 1, 2 or 3 queen beds or 1 king bed. Room extras include a sofabed, 1 or 2 separate bedrooms, a pull-down bed, 2 or 3 TVs, a living room, an electric fireplace, a microwave, a mini-kitchen (mini-fridge, microwave, sink), a jacuzzi, mountain views and a balcony. Accessible rooms are also available.

Free underground parking is available on site with a clearance of 6'.

Ticino Swiss-Italian Restaurant is on site, open for breakfast and dinner. Guests receive a 10% discount.

Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, an indoor hot tub, a dry sauna, an Internet kiosk, tour/ticket assistance, DVD players, dry cleaning, a 24-hour front desk, an elevator and meeting rooms. 

Banff Centre is a 12-minute walk or 4-minute drive away. Banff Gondola and Banff Upper Hot Springs is 10 minutes away by car. Sunshine Village Ski Resort is a 19-minute drive away. The Good
This hotel was well liked overall and guests usually enjoyed their stay.

Guests usually found the rooms comfortable. They were often described as clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Balconies that faced the back of the hotel were enjoyed for their mountain views and because they were quieter, not facing the street. Some guests said their rooms were nicely renovated.

Guests liked this location. Although it got noisy on occasion, being so close to downtown, guests enjoyed that it was an easy walk to restaurants and shops.

Many guests found the staff helpful and friendly.

Adding value to the stay were: excellent free Wi-Fi, free parking, plus an indoor pool and hot tub.

The Bad
Some guests provided negative feedback.

Recent room complaints were: room was a little dated, rates were really expensive, no shower curtain, tiny bathroom, thin towels, room was hot even with air conditioner on, the AC didn't work and no safe in room.

Several guests complained of noise from: noisy AC and mini-fridge, neighbours, people on the streets, loud and drunk youth outside, trains horns, tour groups staying at the hotel and young children playing in the hallways.

Recent hotel complaints were: underground parking had a low clearance and was limited, hallways, elevator and lobby were shabby and there was no assistance with luggage.
