The Good
This hotel provided a decent budget stay for some guests.

Guests typically found the hotel conveniently located. It was easy to access nearby restaurants and public transit and some found it a healthy walk to downtown.

Some seemed satisfied with the free breakfast. One recent guest wrote, "Breakfast is offered at the next door property. Hand your voucher to the host and you get access to coffee/tea, toast, cereal, croissants, muffins, fruit and yogurt. It is a banquet room-like setting that seat 6 to a table."

Some guests seemed satisfied with the rooms. Although they felt they were dated and in need of renovation, they usually judged them to be clean and spacious. Some mentioned comfortable beds at the hotel.

Adding value were: ample parking, balconies with mountain views, a liquor store on site and a year-round well-maintained heated pool.

The Bad
There were a lot of complaints posted by guests who were not fully satisfied with their stay.

Some guests complained of rude staff at the front desk and restaurant/lounge.

Some did not like the lack of ambiance in the breakfast room, not fully clean furniture, and the disposable cupware, plates and flatware.

Recent room complaints included: rooms were hot, no microwave, no mini-fridge as expected in the room, no air conditioning, replacement coffee pot given was cracked, stained and dirty carpets, old scratchy comforters on the beds, uncomfortable beds and room not properly cleaned.

Noise was an issue for some. Guests heard guests overhead and in neighbouring rooms, playing music, yelling in the hallways and slamming doors late at night. There were also tour buses parked and running and plumbing noises within the walls.
