Modern all-suite hotel near SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon with indoor pool and waterslide

The Comfort Suites offers a beautiful strawberry-red, fully-enclosed slide that is two stories in height. Offering one and a half turns, it graciously glides sliders into a 4-foot deep indoor pool that peaks in depth to 4.5 feet and lessens to a 3.5 foot depth. It offers ladders and steps for accessing its pool and hot tub, along with a tiled pool deck. Well lit and inviting, it offers comfortable seating with side tables for viewing.

Pool hours are from 8 am to 10 pm daily. Because the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health governs that a pool attendant be present during waterslide hours, this hotel offers limited waterslide hours that vary according to season and day of the week as follows: Fall/Winter/Spring (September 1 - June 30) waterslide hours are from 5 pm to 10 pm, Monday to Friday; Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm; and Sunday from 8 am to 12 noon. This is a modern and tastefully decorated all-suite hotel that offers a separate bedroom and living room with the convenience of a mini-fridge and microwave for the same price as a regular hotel room in Saskatoon. Rated excellent by most guests, it offers a well-loved free hot breakfast, good hi-speed Wi-Fi, a 42" flat screen, high-definition TV with a great selection of cable channels, a super comfy bed and highly-trained staff. Stylishly renovated rooms in downtown Saskatoon with river walk, restaurants & waterpark

Newly renovated, the River Country Water Park offers a giant blue waterslide that dumps its human cargo into a 4.5 foot deep, dedicated landing pool. Away from the splash bombs, swimmers can paddle along in the main pool that is 7 feet deep at the deep end and 3 feet at the shallow end. An additional 3-foot deep children's pool is available for the younger kids to get some splash time in. All pools are heated to 85 degrees and the entire deck has a special non-slip coating.

The pool area offers an indoor tiled patio with lounge chairs, a bar with food and drinks, an outdoor deck, a change area and two hot tubs for the older crowd to get in some R&R. In the summer (July and August) and on the weekends, all facilities are open from 8 am to 10 pm. All other months, the pools are open Monday to Friday from 6 am to 10 pm, and the slide and bar are open from 2 pm to 10 pm.

This is a great hotel to bring your dog to, as they are welcomed at no extra charge, given their own special bed (not a Sweet Sleeper though), and there's a nearby river trail for walks. Location is a big plus as dining destinations and shopping are both within walking distance. There are suites available with loft bedrooms, HDTVs with pay-per-view movies and video games, iPod docking stations, mini-bars and complimentary Starbucks coffee and Tazo tea in the rooms. The fitness centre is conveniently open 24-hours for guests who like to stay fit, and the hotel offers a number of well-liked dining options as well as a lounge. Guests say a must try is the boozy shake from Scarlet restaurant!

Highly praised downtown Saskatoon hotel near river with resto-bar, indoor pool & waterslide

Elegant and beautiful, the three-storey, open-style, yellow slide delivers you right on time into a separate landing pool that is 4.5 feet deep, and most importantly, away from the 'butterflies' and 'crawlers' of the main swimming pool! Those who want to swim can do so (undisturbed by the sliders) in the main pool which offers a gracious stair entry, shallow end of 3.6 feet and deep end of 7.8 feet.

A hot tub nearby, also with stair entry, awaits your tired muscles with pulsating jets to massage. Featuring stately tiled columns with gold accents, modern seating and two-storey windows, the pool remains open a full day from 6:30 am to 10 pm, allowing guests to have plenty of time to explore the downtown, dine, and take in other forms of entertainment without missing out on swimming or soaking in the hot tub. Waterslide hours are usually restricted to weekends only; Fridays from 4 to 10 pm; Saturdays from 9 am to 10 pm; and Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm. During school breaks such as summer vacations, Christmas Holidays as well as Easter Break, the slides are usually open the entire week but guests should call ahead to confirm.

This may be a good place to come for a weekend staycation with kids, dog, or your kitty who can all stay for free. The Radisson has a popular restaurant called Aroma Resto Bar that makes good pizza (I hear) with a wood-fired stone oven, and guests seem to enjoy its menu and service with many positive reviews online. It offers underground parking, great for keeping warm in the winter, and it's a minute's walk from the Kiwanis Park Path and Meewasin Trail that follows the river, great for strolls with your pup. There's lots to do and see downtown and various cuisines to enjoy at nearby restaurants. Guests loved the staff, beautiful river views and comfy beds at this hotel.

Family-friendly Saskatoon hotel 6 min to XYE with free shuttle, indoor pool and waterslide

This hotel has a giant purple people eater, that sucks up little kids into a giant tube and spits them out into 3 feet of water at one end of the pool. Parents and swimmers can watch the whole thing while treading some water in the 5-foot deep end or from the adjacent hot tub.

A sunny on-deck patio with tables and chairs supports nearby witnesses, who have come to testify to the matter at hand. People-eating and tot-shots from the tube, begin some days at 9 am and end abruptly at 10:30 pm, just to start all over again the next day!

This hotel offers great value for Saskatoon, where hotels are a little on the pricey side, with the cheapest rates and the most freebies of our picks. Tony Roma's restaurant is on the parking lot, (which accommodates oversized vehicles) and the hotel is 9 minutes to downtown and a 5-minute drive to River City Centre mall. It's also convenient for air travellers, a 6-minute free shuttle ride to or from Saskatoon's airport (YXE). Rooms are modern and clean with excellent free Wi-Fi, comfy beds and mini-fridges. The hotel also offers a guest microwave for making popcorn and heating up leftovers from Tony Roma's.

There is a hot tub to dip in and some blue loungers, plus patio table and chairs, from which to cheer the kids on.

The small surrounding deck is nicely tiled with a textured taupe finish, to help sliders keep their balance while moving on wet floors. Pool hours run from 9 am to 9 pm and waterslide hours for Friday and Saturday are evenings only from 5 pm to 9 pm; Sunday mornings from 9 am to 1 pm; and upon request Monday to Thursday, offering some flexibility to guests during the weekdays.
