The good value Days Inn Edmonton South is a well run and comfortable hotel. It serves a good hot breakfast from 6 am to 10 am and has clean, spacious and quiet rooms, windows that open, fast reliable free Wi-Fi, ample free parking and good customer service with friendly staff. It's a smoke-free and pet-free facility and although there is no on-site restaurant, there is a Timmies across the street and restaurant choices as close as a 6-minute walk away (not to mention Whyte Avenue restaurants 10 minutes away on foot). Guests use it often to access the hospital, an 8-minute drive away.

Location
Located on the University of Alberta campus, the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) is a research and teaching hospital in South Central Edmonton. 

UAH is run by the Alberta Health Services Network and is located within the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre alongside the Stollery Children's Hospital and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. The three hospitals work together as "hospitals within a hospital." A number of other clinics and facilities are located in the nearby area.

UAH specializes in cardiac care, transplants, neuroscience and burn treatments, but offers many other patient services.

The Yellowhead Trail Highway 16 can be reached in a 12-minute drive, and the Queen Elizabeth II Highway is a 16-minute drive south. The Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is an approximate 30-minute drive away.

The Edmonton Transit System, or ETS, has a light rail transit station at the hospital, called the Health Sciences Jubilee Station, which is only a 4-minute walk from the hospital. Their website has a full list of route maps, as well as a trip planner.
