Located on the University of Alberta campus, the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) is a research and teaching hospital in South Central Edmonton. 

UAH is run by the Alberta Health Services Network and is located within the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre alongside the Stollery Children's Hospital and the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute. The three hospitals work together as "hospitals within a hospital." A number of other clinics and facilities are located in the nearby area.

UAH specializes in cardiac care, transplants, neuroscience and burn treatments, but offers many other patient services.

Getting Around
The Yellowhead Trail Highway 16 can be reached in a 12-minute drive, and the Queen Elizabeth II Highway is a 16-minute drive south. The Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is an approximate 30-minute drive away.

The Edmonton Transit System, or ETS, operates a light rail transit station at the hospital, Health Sciences Centre Station. Their website has a full list of route maps, as well as a trip planner, but only the light rail route #501, Clareview - Century Park, goes directly to the hospital complex. 

Cash fares are $3.20 per ride, per adult, and an unlimited-use day pass can be purchased for $9 for one adult and up to four children.

The complex includes a number of facilities and can be overwhelming at first, so a site map is available to orient yourself prior to arrival.
