Why these hotels? Travellers flying in to Pearson Airport expecting to be downtown Toronto will be in for a bit of a surprise. The Toronto Airport is actually located in Mississauga, so be sure to book your hotel accordingly. If you are planning to spend considerable time downtown Toronto then booking a hotel right next to the airport is not your best option. However, if you do in fact need to be close to Pearson Airport here are some of the hotels I'd consider.

The Sheraton is the ultimate in convenience if you need to find the absolute closest hotel to the airport. This takes the cake because the Sheraton is located on the departure level of Terminal 3 at Pearson. In addition, there is a free monorail that takes you to Terminal 1 if needed. It doesn't get much more convenient than that.

Location
The area directly around the airport is not really walkable and is mostly a mix of commercial and industrial. Staying very close to the airport is convenient for those getting on a flight, but don't expect to be near any considerable nightlife and entertainment.Some mistake the location of the airport to be near downtown Toronto, but in fact, the airport is actually in Mississauga and can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to drive depending on traffic.
Getting Around: Driving
Driving in to the airport can be somewhat confusing for a first-time visitor as there is a network of ramps that lead off the highway into the terminals, which can feel like a bit of a maze.
Parking
Parking at the airport can be somewhat expensive at $3.00 every 20 minutes and daily maximums of $18 to $28 depending on which lot you find yourself in.Slightly cheaper off-site parking is available at the Value Park Lot for $15 per day, located at 6135 Airport Road in Mississauga. The LINK train will pick passengers up from this lot and take them to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, usually less than a 10 minute wait.
Shopping
If you are looking to shop but don't have the time to make it downtown Toronto, Square One Shopping Centre (1.6 million square feet, over 330 shops) is about 15 km south of the airport (anywhere from a 10 to 25-minute drive depending on where your hotel is located or which end of the airport you're leaving from).Sherway Gardens is also relatively close to the airport, roughly the same distance as Square One (about 15 km), southeast of Pearson.

This hotel is actually located on the departure level in Terminal 3 of the airport, so you won't need to drive to get to the airport as you are essentially already in the airport.
If you need to get to Terminal 1 there is a monorail that will take you from Terminal 3, as you cannot walk.
There is no parking lot specifically for this hotel, you have to park at the airport lot with the airport's parking rates. Parking on level 5 will give you direct access to the hotel (no need to take an elevator).
