The Days Inn Edmonton South is my first choice for value of the 10 closest hotels to Stollery Hospital. It comes highly recommended by the great majority of its former guests, judging from online reviews. It serves a good hot breakfast that is complimentary to its guests each morning from 6 am to 10 am, an important money and time saving convenience.

According to guests, it has clean, spacious and quiet rooms with windows that open. Its fast, reliable and free Wi-Fi, considered a modern staple by many guests, will help to find directions and stay in touch with loved ones. Ample free parking is another huge convenience and cost-saving amenity.

The Days Inn offers good customer service with friendly staff and guests say it provides good value. It's a smoke-free facility and although there is no on-site restaurant, guests online have said that there's plenty of places to eat nearby.

Getting Around
The hospital and all of the below-mentioned hotels are well served by the Edmonton Transit System (ETS), whether by bus or light trail transit (LRT). 

For the hospital complex, the Health Sciences Centre Station serves LRT route #501, Clareview - Century Park. Single adult cash fares are $3.20 per ride, and an unlimited-use day pass can be purchased for one adult and up to four children for $9. Route maps and schedules can be found on their website.

As in any big city, Edmonton is relatively safe to walk around during the day, but guests should practice caution when out on foot at night.

The Yellowhead Trail Highway 16 can be reached in a 12-minute drive, while the Queen Elizabeth II Highway is 16 minutes away by car. The Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is an approximate 30-minute drive away.
