I looked for hotels that would likely work for those needing to attend St. Paul's Hospital or stay close by to family who are at the hospital. There are a few very close by that won't empty your wallet, provide clean and comfortable accommodation, have efficient and caring staff and helpful amenities close by or on site.

The smoke-free Burrard may work well for some guests needing a reasonably-priced and clean hotel very near to the hospital. It's right across the street! The downside is that you can hear the sound of ambulances going to the hospital and street noise from Burrard, but it's possible to ask for a room facing their garden courtyard (which could be a nice place to relax in good weather). A large percentage of guests who have stayed recommend the hotel and guests seemed to appreciate it for it's clean and modern rooms (mini-fridges, walk-in showers, windows that open), comfy beds, professional and helpful staff who seem quick to accommodate guests, and location.

There are a lot of conveniences nearby including a 7-Eleven store plus a small cafe with light meals at the base of the hotel. The closest SkyTrain stop is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Included in the room price are: Nespresso coffee, bottled water, Wi-Fi, electric bicycles, and passes to a fitness centre. Parking is an added $20 per night.
