It can also be reached by the 96 bus route, however, with walking distances to and from bus stops on both ends, it may be more efficient (and cost effective) to walk the whole 15 minutes. If travelling at night and concerned about safety, a taxi would cost about $9.

Scotiabank Place (recently renamed the Canadian Tire Centre) is located in Ottawa, Ontario and is an approximate 18-minute drive or taxi ride from downtown Ottawa. 

It is located off of the Trans Canada Highway / Queensway or Highway 417 and the area immediately surrounding the arena contains car dealerships and scattered residential houses.

Getting Around: Public Transit
OC Transpo is the public transit service in Ottawa. Out of the regular service routes, route 96 and route 118 connect the arena to some of the hotels listed below, however, the routes may require a connection and walking time to the appropriate stops. Bus directions are specified under each hotel below.

There is a special bus called Connexion and route 404 runs on nights when the arena is hosting an Ottawa Senators game or on concert nights, however, the Holiday Inn Select Hotel & Suites (featured below) is the only hotel that easily accesses this route.

The regular one-way cash fare for the bus is $3.40, but a day pass can be purchased for $7.95. Full fare details can be found on the OC Transpo website.
