Penticton and some of the smaller surrounding communities have a very good selection of hotels. I analyzed all the hotels listed below and compared guest comments, ratings, rankings, amenities, prices, location and atmosphere of the hotel based upon professional and travellers' photos and decided on the places I would personally like to stay at (or should I say those I'm planning to stay at)!

Cove Lake came out on top in my analysis. Guests gave high scores for spacious and clean rooms with quality linens and comfy beds, modern decor, great customer service and beautiful views of the lake. If you like privacy like I do, they have private balconies, beach and marina. There's a full-service spa and green space with BBQ on site for relaxing meals outdoors. There's a very well-reviewed on-site restaurant with patio overlooking the lake (sounds like heaven) and things to do on site, such as tennis courts and outdoor pool with waterslide. You won't have to venture too far to find a golf course (Shannon Lake, 10 minutes) and winery (Mission Hill, 9 minutes). It's a little far from the airport at 44 minutes driving time, but I wouldn't be going to Penticton to stay near to the airport!

The Penticton Regional Airport (YYF) is located about 12 minutes south of downtown Penticton. Many tourists come to Penticton and the neighbouring communities via this small regional airport on Air Canada Jazz planes, from Vancouver's international airport. This tiny city, sandwiched between Lake Okanagan and Skaha Lake, is big on charm. With lakes and beaches, in a semi-arid fruit belt, there's a harvest of plenty to discover.

The bus fare for Penticton public transit is $2 per ride for adults and students and ten rides purchased at once cost $15. Fares are even cheaper for seniors and children.
