Getting Around
Many of Ottawa's attractions are within walking distance of the Ottawa Convention Centre. Parliament Hill is an approximate 10-minute walk away, while the Byward Market is also about a 10-minute walk away. 

The Convention Centre itself has four floors, all with varying views of downtown as well as the Rideau Canal, with 236,000 square feet of combined meeting, conference, tradeshow and function spaces. Getting Around: Driving
Downtown Ottawa is a 3-minute drive, while the Trans-Canada Highway is a 3-minute drive away. The Ottawa MacDonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) is a 6-minute drive from the Ottawa Convention Centre. The Byward Market and Parliament Hill are each a 3-minute drive in opposing directions from the convention centre.

Taxi stands are located in front of the Westin and Novotel hotels, as well as along Rideau Street. Hailing one of a number of taxis servicing Ottawa should not be an issue.

A fully staffed, two-floor parking garage is available underneath the Ottawa Convention Centre. There is also a lot underneath the Rideau Centre. Rates start at $1.50 for every half hour, with a 12-hour limit of $18 or 24 hours for $20. Parking is operated by CitiPark and both lots have a combined 1,318 spots.

A single-ride cash fare costs $3.40. Fare is $3 when you purchase tickets (two are required per ride, at $1.50 each), or $2.75 on the Presto refillable transit card.
