Tips For Staying Near Niagara SkyWheel

Situated on the tourist strip, Clifton Hill, the Niagara SkyWheel offers air conditioned and heat controlled gondolas for a year-round magnificent view of the Falls and beyond. Canada's largest observation wheel towers 175 meters above the ground, surrounded by a large variety of entertainment options in Niagara Falls.
If you're looking for a panoramic view from the highest point in Niagara Falls of both Falls, the Niagara Region and beyond, a ride on the SkyWheel is a must. 
Other Tips
The ride lasts 8 to 12 minutes, and is the perfect place to get those day or night pictures of the Falls and area. A narrator announces attractions that can be seen throughout the ride. 

Reviewers mentioned it would be great to do on your first night in the Falls because of all the lights and narrated descriptions of things to do.

Getting Around
As the SkyWheel is located directly on Clifton Hill, many of the area attractions can be reached on foot. Viewpoints of the Falls, and parks on the waterfront, are within a 10-minute walk.

The Niagara Veterans Memorial Parkway is a 4-minute drive away, while the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) is a 6-minute drive. The nearest international airport is the John C. Munro Airport in Hamilton (YHM) at a 58-minute drive, and Toronto's Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is a 1-hour, 15-minute drive away.
Getting Around: Public Transit
Niagara Region Transit Service has routes linking Niagara Falls - Welland - St. Catharines - Port Colborne - Fort Erie from Monday to Saturday and costs $6.

There is a seasonal paid shuttle service to the Falls and various tourist destinations in the Niagara Region from most hotels and other points around the city, but it does not operate during the winter months. Passes can be purchased at a number of different retailers and information can be found on the WeGo website.
