Getting Around: Driving
Downtown Hamilton is a 6-minute drive from the school, while Highway 403 is an 8-minute drive and the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway is 5 minutes away by car. The closest airport is the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) at a 16-minute drive from the school.

Parking
Visitors' pay-and-display parking is available off of Governor's Boulevard, and a large general parking lot is available to the east of the main campus buildings. Pay-and-display machines are available and rates start at $4.50 per hour, with a $9, 2-hour maximum. Machines take exact change in coins, as well as Visa and MasterCard. Evenings and weekends are charged at a flat rate of $5.50.

Students and faculty can purchase permits by the week, month, semester or year. More information is available on the parking services website.

Getting Around: Public Transit
Public transit throughout Hamilton is serviced by the Hamilton Street Railway Company (HSR). A number of routes travel to the school from throughout the city.

Single-ride adult fares are $2.55, but students enrolled full time at Mohawk receive a bus pass validation sticker in their tuition fees that, once placed on their student photo I.D. card, allows them unlimited rides on HSR transit.
