Lloydminster has a nice selection of hotels for the most part, but high prices. Most are pretty close to the airport as well. I did a thorough analysis based upon the online guest review scores, recommendation rates by reviewers, lists of amenities offered, freebies, basic room prices and what's nearby and came up with these three choices.

10 minutes to the airport, on Yellowhead trail, with restaurant, pool, and well-liked staff
I think the Days Inn is a good choice because I get the feeling it is well managed from reading online reviews. I like the way the manager addresses complaints and explains things. It sounds like they are working hard to provide suitable accommodation and experiences to guests. The staff here are very well liked, the restaurant and service has received recent compliments, and guests report that the pool and fitness area are well maintained. There is a new "wing" which was built around 2008, which guests liked, that offers suites, plus the hotel offers smoking and non-smoking rooms. It's only 10 minutes to the airport and a 3-minute walk to the Bell-Lloydminster Mall. Wi-Fi and parking are included.

Indoor pool and hot tub, on-site restaurant, clean rooms and attentive staff
Holiday Inn comes out as a very good hotel in the online scores. It's also located only 10 minutes to the airport and guests have enjoyed their stays here due to the friendly staff, well-equipped and quiet rooms, the decent on-site restaurant and enjoyable pool. The location was praised for being close to Hwy 16 and for having restaurants within walking distance. It also offers free Wi-Fi and parking and has a fitness centre and hot tub for guest enjoyment.

Clean rooms, mini-fridge & microwave, restaurant & lounge, steam baths, fitness centre
It looks like the West Harvest Inn is one of the more reasonably-priced hotels in town, judging from the day I compared prices and it's the closest to the airport at 8 minutes' drive. It's only 4 minutes to downtown and walk-able in about 14 minutes. It has a restaurant and lounge, no pool but a fitness centre and steam room as hotel amenities. Guests said the food at the restaurant was good and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. It has easy access to the Yellowhead Trail and offers free Wi-Fi and parking to all guests.
