There are a lot of hotels in this line-up but nothing much that really strikes my fancy. It seems that the more reasonably-priced hotels have issues of some kind and some of the more highly-rated places are priced a little high. My two picks are highly rated, highly recommended and among the more reasonably priced, comparatively.

Hotel Dauphin Montreal – Longueuil is my first choice. It’s only a 4-minute drive to La Ronde, closer than all the hotels and guests can actually reach La Ronde on foot in 30 minutes or via public transit utilizing the Metro, with the station a 9-minute walk from the hotel.

Hotel Dauphin affords a good experience to its guests with clean rooms, comfortable beds and a high-quality breakfast buffet. Guests like this hotel for accessing Old Montreal, just across the bridge, and many found it to have good Wi-Fi signals, courteous staff and to be convenient to restaurants in the vicinity.

Hotel Dauphin is also the only hotel to offer a combined hotel and ticket package to La Ronde. (Contact the hotel's website or call for details.

My second choice is Hotel les Suites Labelle. Although it’s a 9-minute drive to La Ronde, it has easy access to public transit to the amusement park, with only a 2-minute walk to the stop and 20 minutes overall travelling time. Guests liked this all-suite hotel for its location, close to the Berri-UQAM station which makes it convenient to access much of Montreal and the airport with public transit.

It offers spacious rooms with kitchenettes, flat screen TVs and air conditioning for competitive rates as well as apartment-sized suites with panoramic views of the city. And maybe best of all, it’s within walking distance of the restaurants and entertainment of St. Catherine Street.
