Tips For Staying Near Humber College

Humber College Lakeshore Campus is located in Etobicoke in western Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario.

The college has three campuses: North Campus in the Toronto neighbourhood of Rexdale and the Orangeville Campus, which is located about a 1-hour drive northwest of Lakeshore Campus, in Orangeville.

Lakeshore is considered the creative campus, as most of the arts programs operate out of this location.
Pay and Display parking is available to visitors for $4 for less than 4 hours, $7 for more than 4 hours, as well as a one-week pass for $35 and a two-week pass for $70. Machines are available in the parking lot, and can be paid with cash, debit or credit.
Getting Around: Driving
The campus is well situated for those driving from anywhere in the Greater Toronto Area. The Gardiner Expressway for east to west traffic is a 4-minute drive, and the 427 Highway for those travelling north is an 8-minute drive from the campus. The 401 Highway is an 11-minute drive, while downtown Toronto is an approximate 25-minute drive, depending on traffic.

Downtown Mississauga, including Square One Shopping Mall, is a 20-minute drive, and Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is a 15-minute drive from the campus.
Getting Around: Public Transit
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates two routes to Humber College Lakeshore Campus: the #44 South bus from Kipling Station, dropping guests off on campus, and the #501 Queen / Lakeshore Streetcar, stopping on Lakeshore Boulevard.

Single-ride adult fares are $3, or an unlimited-use day pass can be purchased for $10.75. For more fare and schedule information, visit the TTC website.

Public transit to the campus is only logical from a couple of the below-mentioned hotels, due to having to transfer from Mississauga Transit to the TTC, or to take a GO Train. Mississauga transit fares are $3 per single ride and more information can be found on the Miway website.
Getting Around: Walking
The campus itself is entirely walkable, but spread out over a number of buildings, including the East Building, the Robert A. Gordon Learning Centre, the West Building attached to the student residences and a number of program-specific buildings across Lakeshore Boulevard. To find exactly what you're looking for, there is a campus map available on their website.

A campus walk program is available for those wishing to be accompanied to their car, or the bus stop any time of day. For more information, visit their website.

There are also hiking, walking and biking trails nearby with views of the city and the lake.
Students and visitors have a wide range of dining options, both on campus and off. A number of fast food restaurants can be found spread out through the campus, including Tim Hortons and Pizza Pizza, to name a few. For a full list of restaurants and their operating hours, visit the Humber College website.
In the performing arts centre, there are regularly live jazz, theatre events, comedy shows and concerts put on by students for the public.

On top of that, there are a number of student-related events throughout the year, including concerts and shows for those attending Humber College.
