Halifax Casino, or Casino Nova Scotia, is located in downtown Halifax and is one of two locations, the other being in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The casino is located right on the shore of the Halifax Harbour, with a view of downtown Dartmouth across the harbour. 

Directly behind the casino is an overpass leading to the main streets of Halifax as well as several government buildings and hotels. The heart of downtown Halifax is an approximate 5-minute drive or taxi ride or 8-minute walk from the casino. 

The closest airport is Halifax Stanfield Airport (YHZ), which is an approximate 30- to 40-minute drive or taxi ride away.

The standard parking rate at the casino is $3 per hour and there are no daily or weekly rates. Complimentary parking will be validated for Player's Club members who take part in the following:

There are both bus routes and a ferry close to the casino for travelling around Halifax or across the river to Dartmouth. The closest stop to the casino is a 3-minute walk away at Upper Water Street in front of Purdy's Tower, which is a stop on routes 5 and 82. The Halifax Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute drive or taxi ride or an 8-minute walk from the casino and offers two routes to Dartmouth and Woodside, Nova Scotia.

There are several bus options in Halifax, and fares vary based on which type of bus route you are travelling on. One-way fares range from $2.25 to $3.25 for an adult fare, with 10-ticket or MetroPass options.

There are not many late-night routes on the bus line, and taking a taxi or walking may be a better alternative to get to your hotel if the bus is not running late enough for your needs.
