Tips For Staying Near Calaway Park

Located in Springbock, Rocky View County an approximate 25-minute drive west of Calgary's city centre, this amusement park features a number of rides and attractions suitable for a full day of family fun set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

The seasonal park is open from May to October, and adult rates are $35.95, while children aged 3-6 are $29. Prices do not include GST. Family passes and discounts are also available. More information on admission costs can be found on their website.

Stage shows are put on throughout the season and are included in the day's admission cost. Information on the shows can be found throughout the park, or on their website leading up to and during the season.

A 3D theatre playing set shows throughout the season can also be found in the middle of the park. Admission is included in your day pass and showtimes vary. Show information can be found online.
Getting Around
The park itself is one of the largest in Western Canada, so orienting yourself with a map of the area is a necessity. A map can be found on their website for those looking to plan their day in advance, or guests can pick one up upon entry to the park. Guests can also go on a virtual tour on their website.

The park is located on the Trans-Canada Highway, an approximate 3-minute drive from the on-ramp. Downtown Calgary is a 25-minute drive away, while the Calgary International Airport (YYC) is a 28-minute drive away.

There is no public transit service to Calaway Park, but bus route #408 to Canada Olympic Park is the closest option. From there, guests would have to take a taxi service into the park, an approximate 10-minute drive.

A number of picnic areas (indicated with a picnic bench on the map) around the park are available for those wishing to save some money on dining out.
